Lakeside Living at Hermione CottageKitchen & Dining
Hermione Cottage's large dining table, seating up to 10, is positioned by French doors opening out onto the luscious garden area, making for great indoor-outdoor dining - ideal for those evening BBQs with friends and family.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, an oven, 2 fridge/freezers (one in the garage for drinks), a dishwasher and microwave, and includes cleaning products.
All your cutlery, crockery, bakeware and storage equipment is provided for your convenience. BBQ cooking and cleaning equipment is also provided along with a 4 burner gas BBQ - all you'll need is the food and the company!
A fish smoker for all those optimistic trout fishermen is provided for you to transform your catch into a gourmet delicacy! Do bring your own manuka chips.
Rubbish bags are provided for weekly collections at the gate.
The Lounge
The spacious lounge is equipped with luxury sofas and recliners, perfect for relaxing in after a full day of activities -fishing, kayaking, waterskiing, tramping or just swimming in the lake.
Hermione Cottage has TV with MySky HDi, a DVD, CD and video player for your comfort – remember to bring your favourite music and movies.
You will find a full selection of books in our library for your reading pleasure, along with a number of brochures describing fun diversions in, and around, Lake Tarawera and Rotorua.
We have a vistors book in which we’d love you to write about the highlights of your holiday at Hermione Cottage.
An efficient log-fire wood burner, with wood provided makes winter nights utterly cosy.
Bathroom & Laundry
The bathroom at Hermione Cottage - your Lake Tarawera accommodation - offers a standard size bath, a shower, vanity and toilet. It’s situated near the guest rooms and can be accessed from the sleepout via the laundry entrance.
The laundry is equipped with washing machine, drier, sink and basic cleaning products, as well as brooms, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, and bbq tools etc.
